Base pay range
Smart4Chemicals are looking to recruit a Scientist for one of our clients based down in the Cornwall area.
As a Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting product development, conducting R&D, characterising & testing materials, and providing customer-focused support.
Role responsibilities
* Actively assist in the development of hydrogen-related products by identifying customer requirements and internal objectives.
* Support R&D in a lab-based environment focusing on electrocatalysts, coatings, and other components.
* Utilise strong knowledge and understanding of electrochemistry across a number of existing and new projects.
* Liaise with customers on a daily basis to understand their technical challenges and ensure that product specifications align with their needs.
Role requirements
* Bachelor's degree in chemistry, materials science, or a closely related subject. People without degrees but with equivalent industrial experience in electrochemistry are also encouraged to apply.
* Previous experience whether in industry or academia on material synthesis, formulation of electrocatalyst/catalyst synthesis, and characterisation techniques.
* Strong passion for green energy and sustainable technologies, ideally within the hydrogen sector.
