Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN School)
Location: Wolverhampton
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm)
Weekly Salary: £425 to £450

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to meet students’ unique needs.
* Assist with classroom activities, including preparing resources and supporting learning objectives.
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
* Work on a one-to-one basis or with small groups to provide additional learning support.
* Monitor and record student progress, sharing observations with teachers and parents as required.
* Support students with personal care and mobility where necessary (training will be provided if needed).
* Promote social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and relationship-building.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEN.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience to support students through challenges.
* A proactive and flexible approach to working within a team environment.
* A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
* Experience working with children or young people in a school, care, or similar setting.
* A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
* Understanding of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other developmental or learning challenges.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
* Experience in using communication systems such as Makaton, PECS, or AAC.
* First Aid or safeguarding training.
