Working week:
* Monday to Thursday - 9am - 5:30pm
* Friday - 9am - 5pm
* 60-minute unpaid lunch break
Total hours per week: 37.5 hours
Expected duration: 18 Months
Overview of the role:
We are a small to medium business that has been established for over 30 years. We value creating an environment where our customers feel comfortable reaching out for assistance. We develop a friendly yet professional relationship with our customers, ensuring no long call queues or automated messages.
We are a close-knit team and have created a family environment. Teamwork is essential, so we are looking for someone who can engage fully and operate in such an environment, even when some team members are working remotely. We encourage questions, operating under a ‘no question is a daft question’ policy.
Roles and responsibilities:
* You will be the first point of contact for our customers requiring assistance.
* Provide support via phone (primarily) and email, utilizing remote access software.
* Software support for our main software products and associated services such as SMS and offsite backup.
* General IT support involving areas such as Windows, local networking, printers, and other peripherals.
* Diagnose hardware issues and escalate to hardware engineers where necessary.
* Interact with third-party software such as imaging systems.
* Learn about our functions and regulations with full support.
* Escalate issues where appropriate and pass on feedback or suggestions from customers to the appropriate team members.
Training and qualification:
* Information Communication Technician Level 3
* All training is delivered remotely by Althaus Digital
Career progression:
This apprenticeship naturally leads to roles such as IT Technician, Field Technician, and Third Line Support.
