About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant working within the College, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
This rewarding role will include providing great person-centred support to our learners who have specific learning needs. As a crucial part of this role, you will promote learner independence, respect, and dignity at all times.
If you possess the passion and commitment to motivate and enthuse your learners, helping them to develop their skills and independence, then we want to hear from you.
You will be expected to work safely, in accordance with the College’s safeguarding and departmental risk assessment procedures.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate working knowledge of supporting learners with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and learning difficulties.
You will be able to demonstrate a track record of working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis with students under tutor direction. You will have in-depth and practical knowledge of the provision of mobility support.
You will hold the relevant professional qualifications for this role or be willing to work towards it within 3 years.
