WHAT TO EXPECT:
The Director of Growth Marketing is the overall leader of the growth marketing/services function within Phiture.This role is responsible for driving exceptional client satisfaction and achieving top-tier performance metrics. You'll also ensure our client-focused growth pods operate at peak functionality and efficiency, delivering outstanding results from a growth marketing perspective. Together with the Growth Leads, the director formulates strategies to drive overall client growth through targeted marketing initiatives.
Please note that while this is a remote-first position, we are only considering candidates based in or near Berlin, London, or Barcelona, as these are our primary hubs for collaboration, and regular in-person meetings are required. Thank you for your understanding.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
* Provide Leadership and Vision: Lead a team of 6 Growth Leads and a 40-member (and growing) growth marketing department, setting long-term goals and ensuring strategic alignment across all initiatives. Work closely with Growth Leads and other senior team members to position the department as an industry leader in innovative growth marketing solutions, driving client success.
* Guide and Oversee Growth Marketing Strategies: Work with Growth Leads to shape high-impact strategies for client engagements, ensuring they align with both client objectives and company goals. Maintain accountability for the overall success of departmental strategies and performance.
* Own Client Performance and Satisfaction: Hold ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction (NPS) and achieving key performance metrics (Client North Stars), ensuring that growth marketing services consistently exceed client expectations.
* Mentor and Develop Growth Leads: Coach and develop Growth Leads, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and goal alignment. Empower them to become thought leaders and problem solvers who drive their teams forward.
* Ensure Consistent Service Delivery: Ensure that Phiture’s growth pods operate efficiently and deliver consistent, high-quality growth marketing services across all clients.
* Collaborate on Cross-Department Initiatives: Partner with departments such as business development, product, and analytics to foster innovation and drive the creation of holistic client solutions and new marketing service offerings.
* Lead Innovation in Marketing Services: Spearhead the exploration and integration of new technologies, including automation, AI-driven marketing, and cutting-edge tools, to continuously improve and expand service offerings and improve client outcomes.
* Client Engagement and High-Level Check-Ins: Regularly engage with key clients at a strategic level to ensure alignment on growth marketing initiatives and the achievement of North Star metrics. Act as the senior point of contact for escalations and high-impact decisions.
* Support Business Development Efforts: Collaborate with the business development team on key client pitches and proposals, contributing strategic insights and showcasing the value of Phiture’s growth marketing services.
* Oversee Training and Knowledge Sharing: Implement ongoing training programs to ensure the growth marketing team is equipped with the latest tools, best practices, and cutting-edge approaches, fostering high levels of technical expertise and adaptability within the department.
* Steer Change Management: Steer the growth marketing department through Phiture’s ongoing organizational changes. Develop strategies to ensure smooth transitions, maintain team morale, and align with evolving company goals. Foster adaptability while continuing to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
* Extensive Experience in Growth Marketing: 10+ years of experience in growth marketing across both agency and client-side roles, with a strong background in mobile and broader digital marketing. Experience across various industries and platforms is highly valued, providing a well-rounded perspective to drive diverse client needs.
* Leading and scaling marketing team: You’ve built and scaled marketing teams, mentored growth marketers, and fostered a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results-oriented performance.
* Client-Centric Mindset: Proven success in client-facing roles with a passion for building strong relationships. You thrive on communicating complex strategies clearly and effectively, driving measurable business growth for clients.
* Hands-On Strategic Leadership: You’re not just a visionary, but a doer. You have a deep understanding of marketing strategy, performance metrics, and data-driven decision-making. You can also roll up your sleeves to support execution when needed.
* Mobile Marketing Expertise: A deep understanding of full-funnel mobile marketing, including performance marketing, app store optimization (ASO), and other paid acquisition channels (Google, Meta, Apple Search Ads, programmatic, etc.), paired with expertise in lifecycle marketing and CRM strategies and a strong data-driven mindset.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely with creative, data, and account management departments to drive holistic solutions for clients and ensure seamless service delivery across growth pods.
* Service innovation: Up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, automation, and AI-driven marketing solutions. You’re excited to innovate and integrate new technologies into the growth marketing strategy while continuously developing new services.
* Strong Business Acumen: You have extensive experience managing operational budgets within a marketing department, focusing on resource allocation, staffing, and P&L management. Your budget decisions align with strategic goals like revenue growth and long-term client success, ensuring efficient operations.
