Job Title: Student Mentor
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience

Main Duties
Student Support:
* Provide one-on-one mentoring to help students build positive relationships, make informed life choices, and improve resilience, confidence, mental health, and well-being.
* Organize and facilitate support sessions at mutually agreed times, ensuring each student is fully engaged.
* Establish positive, interactive relationships with each student to foster personal growth and development.
* Assist students in developing life skills and achieving specific personal goals.
Monitoring & Reporting:
* Track the progress of each mentee and produce detailed reports after every session.
* Collect and analyze data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of mentoring activities.
Collaboration:
* Build relationships with schools, colleges, community groups, youth organizations, and potential employers to support student progression.
* Attend meetings with partners and provide updates on the successes and challenges of the mentoring scheme.
Safeguarding & Well-being:
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Provide support to students when they become dysregulated, maintaining a safe environment for all.
* Conduct welfare checks and liaise with the wider school community for additional support.
Behaviour & Engagement Support:
* Assist in delivering positive behaviour interventions in the classroom and support students in managing their behavior.
* Collaborate with the Head of School, SENCO, and Lead Student Support to integrate students into the wider school setting.
* Support teaching staff with behaviour management and student engagement.
Pastoral Duties:
* Be prepared to undertake the role of form tutor, managing student behavior and promoting a positive learning environment.
* Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained within your area of responsibility.
Professional Development & Teamwork:
* Contribute to departmental meetings, professional development, and the overall aims of the school.
* Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive school culture.

About You
* Willing to submit an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS).
* Complete Child Protection Training. Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young person’s they are responsible for, or come into contact with.
* Proven experience in mentoring young people with SEN and MH needs
