Great permanent opportunity for an experienced Application and Service Support Engineer to join a fast growing and successful Energy, Data and Technology company located in Surrey. The role has a mixed element of Application Support while working on Service Delivery and possibly some 1st line IT Support as the team evolves.
Recently, there has been a team merger so you will be part of a team of ten which consists of IT Support, Network Support and Application Support.
The day-to-day duties of the role will be working on the company’s applications that run on SQL systems, duties to include data correction, trouble shooting and making sure the applications are running smoothly across the business.
There will be an introduction of Jira to the business, you will have an involvement with the on-boarding and integration of this into the business. Alongside the Management team, getting involved and being part of the introduction of ITIL Service Delivery, written policies and procedures and governance.
This is an interesting and varied role with a strong emphasis on Service Delivery. You will be passionate about Service Delivery and enjoy working as part of an integrated IT Operations Team. You will be immersed into and be part of a large and progressive IT Transformation, working with different teams across the business.
There is hybrid working on offer of two to three days in the office and the rest of the days working from home per week.

Skills/experience/attributes:
* Minimum of two/three years’ experience working in a 2nd Line Application Support role
* Experience of SQL
* Proficient in MS packages
* Experience of ITIL/ITSM Service Delivery
* Experience of written policies/procedures
* Strong problem solver
* Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written
* Experience of 1st line IT Support
* Experience of working to SLA’s and KPI’s
* Strong customer service experience
* Experience or knowledge of Jira would be highly desirable
* Experience of working on a ticketing system
* Strong attention to detail
* Enjoy working as part of a team and happy to share knowledge
