A Support Worker is required for 22 flexible hours per week to support a young Autistic gentleman with his social activities.
The hours are fairly flexible on a day to suit both, depending on activity.
The gentleman likes walking, computer games, days out, and going to the cinema. The ideal support worker should have similar interests and encourage the young man’s social interaction. He requires support with a small amount of domestic duties and cooking, but mainly this position would be to gain all aspects of his independence.
A car driver (with a clean UK driving licence) would be an advantage, although the young man does have a bus pass which entitles the support worker to free travel.
It is essential that the support worker is non-smoking (including vaping).
The hours would be a mix of daytime and evening and can be mutually agreed and planned between the gentleman and support worker.
The rate of pay is £12.10 per hour, time and a half for bank holidays, expenses, paid annual leave, and pension (if required).
Please submit your CV quoting reference D588.
