Applications are invited for this 8-session community adult psychiatry post based at the Arran Centre, Bridgeton, Glasgow in the north east of Glasgow. There is a well-developed multi-disciplinary team, including Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, as well as good administrative support. You would be working alongside other Consultant Psychiatrists, with trainee support. There is close contact with the other Psychiatric Consultants in the North East Division of psychiatry. You would be involved in assessment and management of patients with mental disorder within the Arran Centre catchment area as well as providing, consultation and training and would play a key role in service development and evaluation. We are particularly looking for enthusiastic team players with an interest in quality improvement clinical governance and leadership.

The post would be community based, with no in-patient work, although it may be necessary to support colleagues with short term absence cover.
The post-holder will have, or will achieve, Approved Medical Practitioner status in accordance with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
Candidates must have full GMC Registration and a license to practice. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of Higher Specialist Training leading to a CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry at the date of interview. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
