A vacancy has arisen for a Roadworker 3 within the in-house Highway Team who deliver the day-to-day maintenance of the highway and footway networks within the East Riding.
We seek a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic team leader to join our successful team to deliver a range of projects from planer patching, drainage works, and footway repairs, together with general highway construction and maintenance works.
The Highways Team have a strong ‘can do’ attitude which is focussed on delivering high standards of work to all highway users.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a supervisory role working in the highway maintenance or construction industry together with a forward-thinking attitude to ensure the service continues to build on its previous successes.
A full clean driving licence is essential, preferably with Category C1 entitlement. Where C1 entitlement is not yet held, the successful candidate will commit to undertake LGV driver training within 6 months of their start date, to category C+E and then carry out driving duties as requested.
A NRSWA Operative certificate is essential as is knowledge and experience of Construction Health and Safety legislation in relation to highways works.
The vacancy is at the Beverley depot. You will work a standard 37-hour week Monday to Friday with additional overtime worked on a planned basis as are voluntary standby rotas.
