This job description sets out the current duties of the job role that may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the job role or the level of responsibility entailed.
Job Summary
To support the smooth and efficient running of the Golf operations in all areas including; retail, course co-ordination, course concierge, course marshalling and reception.
Candidate Profile
Experience:
* Previous experience working within a similar environment preferred but not essential
* First Aid (Desirable)
Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
* Pro-active and reliable
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Golf knowledge essential
Education or Certification:
* PGA Training/ PGA Qualification desired but not essential
Specific Duties
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position.
* Provide a consistently high level of service and hospitality to all Members and Guests, at all times, and in all areas of the Golf Operation.
* To meet all criteria required to pass the necessary audits such as the '59 Club Mystery Shopper'
* Take golf reservations and ensure that all golf bookings are correctly inputted into booking system, and that revenue is processed correctly.
* To assist in general shop and service-related duties e.g. merchandising, stock control, cleaning
* Check in all golfers and support the day-to-day management of tee times
* Support the daily management and maintenance of the buggy fleet and operation, including cleaning, charging and positioning ensuring that sufficient buggies are available to cater for both that day and following day's business
* Regularly monitor the locker facilities, undertake cleaning as required.
* Assist with ball control and cleanliness at the driving range.
* Ensure that guidelines, as set by the hotel, are followed in terms of sanitisation and safety practices with regards to the customer facing areas in the golf operations, equipment, retail, buggies and confectionary
* Carry out starter/course marshalling duties as required.
* Ensure that the Halfway House is operational.
* Carry out green fee payment checks with the collection of tickets on the 1st tee.
* Assist with corporate golf day management/updates and any other Corporate / Society Day requests.
* Support the successful running of golf days; including being the host to organisers where required.
* Support the effective delivery of member competitions and bookings, including handicap maintenance.

* Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
* Complies with Forest of Arden Hotel Limited policies and procedures.
* Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than your contracted hours.
Cash/Bank Handling ?
* Process all payment methods in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.?
* Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops).?
* Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.?
* Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining required for expected business level, and keeping bank secure at all times.?
* Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedures.?
* Work flexibly to include working at different times of day, including weekends for no less than 8 working hours per week with motivation and commitment.?
* Fourth, Micros, or any other systems access cards/passwords must not be left unattended under any circumstances, not shared with anyone, and must be stored appropriately whilst off duty.?
* Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.?
