The Role
Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Mathematics (Maternity Cover) to join Stewart’s Melville College on a temporary basis from 27 May 2025 until 26 May 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is full time, term time, and remuneration will be on the ESMS Teaching Staff Salary Scale A (£34,508 - £49,977 per annum). The role is based at the Queensferry Road site.
The successful candidate must be GTCS-registered, hold a subject-specific degree level qualification, and have familiarity with Scottish qualifications. They should be an excellent practitioner, highly organised, and capable of multitasking while maintaining high standards and fostering positive relationships within the school community.
ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
