Were looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic and collaborative central team in XPO Logistics to support companywide projects as we go through some exciting changes and developments.
Were looking to bring someone in on a permanent basis to lead a wide range of projects including new warehouse and transport operations start-ups. You will be responsible for establishing a solid foundation for the project from onset to deployment by ensuring that there is a clear understanding of scope, deliverables, approach, and critical success factors to achieve project objectives for the client and operational teams.
This is a field-based role; requiring flexibility to travel frequently to client and operational locations, as well as the Crick head office for project meetings. Therefore, the role also qualifies for the company car scheme. While managing your own diary and utilising the benefits of Microsoft teams meetings there will also be the opportunity to work from home or local sites.

What youll do on a typical day:
Lead and manage a variety of projects such as new client business wins, TUPE transitions and new warehouse & transport operating site commissioning.
Update a variety of senior stakeholders on project progress and accountability for project timelines and spend.
Manage project schedules using tracking charts, checklists, and project scheduling software.
Document all data and analytics throughout the project life cycle.
Managing Risks, Issues and Project Scope & Deliverables
Coordinating, motivating, and supporting Workstream leads and operational resources to achieve project deliverables through task progression and completion.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Essential: Highly experienced within warehouse and supply chain projects.
Essential: Being able to manage the whole project lifecycle delivery, from tender through to go-live
Essential: Proven experience of leading and coordinating solution design, build and commissioning activities of automated warehouse and ecommerce operating solutions.
Essential: The ability to engage with various stakeholders including senior management and executive stakeholders of the client and business.
Essential: A Prince2 or similar professional qualification, with degree level education.
Beneficial: : The ability to ensure the smooth delivery of project by managing contractors and 3rd party suppliers.
Beneficial: Transitioning planning experience and supporting the process through the cut over processes involve in moving operations between providers.
