Overview
We are seeking an Electricians mate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the site electrician in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. The Electrician will ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Duties
1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
2. Troubleshoot electrical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
4. Ensure compliance with all safety codes and regulations during installation and maintenance tasks.
5. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
6. Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become serious problems.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Skills
1. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and generators.
3. Ability to read technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
5. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
