We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our Conference and Events team at Celtic Manor Resort.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR …
The role requires a good eye for detail to ensure that the highest standards of service are delivered as part of the guests' seamless journey through the Resort. You will need to be an excellent team player, a motivator, have good communication skills, a passion for delivering high levels of customer service, possess a professional attitude, and have high standards of presentation.
Having a background in leading a team in a hospitality environment, you will have a passion for the industry and want to deliver memorable experiences for our customers. Ideally, you will have experience in a 4* or 5* hotel or have worked in an environment that has catered for volume banqueting.
WHAT YOU’LL DO …
You will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for small teams assisting in the delivery of daily events. This may include small events, meetings, or supervising a busy lunch service. During dinner service, you will lead a team of up to 12 staff to deliver plated meals, including managing dietary requirements. You will brief your team prior to service, check your area, and be well-organized and adaptable to short-notice changes.
Depending on your capability and progression level, you may also meet and greet clients and gain experience in delivering events for up to 150 people, with potential for advancement to Supervisor, Floor Manager, and beyond.
