Job summary
Clinical Fellow (IM3 equivalent) in General Medicine
Applications are invited for a junior LED post to join our General Medicine department. The post will primarily cover the general wards at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is suited for doctors interested in conditions affecting this patient cohort, as well as those preparing their portfolio for ST4 recruitment. The role offers opportunities to explore specialist interests, includes an acute on-call element, and funding for a PGCert in medical education. There are also opportunities to participate in medical education delivery and Quality Improvement (QI).
The post is available immediately, likely as a permanent position following a successful 12-month review with the Clinical Lead. It may support a CESR portfolio pathway if made permanent after 12 months.
Although this post does not have Deanery approval for training, recognized training will be provided. Barnsley is rated highly nationally based on recent GMC/NTS and staff surveys. All applicants must hold Full GMC Registration.
