We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis to provide support for a student who uses British Sign Language (BSL). Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one support to a student who uses BSL, ensuring their academic and social needs are met. - Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement personalised learning strategies. - Assist in the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials to accommodate the student's learning style. - Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student and their peers. - Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers. Requirements: - Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) is essential. - Previous experience working with students who have diverse learning needs is preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with additional needs. - Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support personnel. Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma; relevant educational qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
