Job Description:
My Clients Leeds / Manchester / Bristol office is seeking an Infrastructure Design Engineer to join their team engaged in all aspects of civil engineering design. The successful candidate should be capable of:
1. Providing a technical support role, reporting to an Associate.
2. Managing junior staff to ensure delivery of demanding projects.
You will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar and working towards or attained a relevant professional qualification. You will also be proficient in:
1. Highway and ideally associated drainage design standards.
2. Production of S278, S38, S104 or equivalent detailed design drawings.
3. Negotiating these agreements.
As part of your input to the team and projects, you would be required to attend meetings and undertake site visits. You will also be required to provide the necessary technical information and results for the production of reports and documents.
Person Specification:
You will be degree qualified and eligible for C Eng MICE or MCIHT. Alternatively, candidates qualified to allow pursuit of I Eng MICE status would be considered. You should be able to demonstrate:
1. Experience, knowledge and understanding of DMRB design standards and Local Authority procedures in relation to the design and construction of highway schemes under section 38 and 278 of the Highways Act.
2. Working knowledge of SUDS and Sewers for Adoption including S104 & S106 design submission processes.
3. Recent experience of working as part of an integrated civil engineering design team preferably in an environment involving the development of schemes for private developers and large building projects.
4. Proficiency in the use of industry standard computer software including MicroDrainage and Civils 3D.
5. The ability to work independently and manage their own workload and that of other staff to achieve efficient delivery of the required output information, including drawings, documents, reports and schedules.
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills essential.
