SDR Living provides short term accommodation and support for local families and individuals that find themselves homeless, on behalf of several East Sussex local authorities. An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team of Night Porters/Reception at one of our housing & support services in Eastbourne. At times working here will be challenging and a calm head and empathetic approach to working with residents will be critical. Residents may have complex needs and you will help us to support them in gaining greater independence and improved prospects, while maintaining strong professional boundaries. There is a real opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives which makes the work we do incredibly rewarding. Experience in a similar role is desirable, but training is available for candidates with the right attitude and the desire to move in to this type of role. Key Details Hours: A minimum of 22 hours per week ; Set shifts: Friday, 23:00 - 09:00 & Saturday, 21:00 - 09:00 OR Saturday, 09:00 - 21:00 & Sunday, 09:00 - 21:00 Willingness and ability to cover overtime as needed. Can you Assist in the delivery of an evening / night porter / reception service to our residents Implement night security systems, ensuring the overall safety and security of the scheme Meet the requirements of health and safety policies and practices.
