The opportunity
At EY, our Financial Services Assurance Team is fully integrated, working across borders to help clients deal with issues that are critical to their success.
Extended Assurance is part of our Financial Services Assurance Advisory practice and provides ongoing advice and assurance to regulators, management, and directors on governance, processes, and controls not part of the financial statements audit. We work with clients to provide assurance that an organization’s business activities, processes, and controls are operating effectively and in line with applicable regulations.
Your key responsibilities
Everything you do will be focused on delivering exceptional services for our clients. You will work in complex multi-disciplinary teams, with responsibility for the execution of smaller projects and components of larger projects, under the guidance of Managers, Directors, and Partners.
As part of the Extended Assurance Client Assets (CASS) team, you can expect to work on the execution of a variety of projects, including:
1. CASS audits - reasonable assurance on compliance with client money and custody asset rules.
2. CASS one-off reviews - providing findings and recommendations on areas requested by clients.
3. Skilled Person reviews - as requested by the regulator.
4. Other safeguarding engagements - providing assurance on payments and digital assets.
5. Specialist support - providing technical support to smaller CASS audits and client control functions.
6. Support for other areas of Extended Assurance.
7. Internal projects and initiatives - supporting quality, risk management, and business development.

To qualify for the role, you must have:
* Financial Services sector experience.
* Experience in financial services audit, assurance, risk, or internal controls.
Ideally, you'll also have:
* Experience of CASS audits and advisory projects.
* Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
* Audit or Assurance experience in a professional services firm or blue-chip employer.
* Proven experience of working effectively in a team.
