Job summary South Reading and Shinfield Group Medical Practice is a long established large GP Practice, rated GOOD in all categories by CQC. The Practice is located across two sites in South Reading. Our friendly, professional and experienced GPs, extended range of HCPs and administrative teams offering a wide range of clinical services. A vacancy has arisen for a 37.5 hour per week healthcare assistant at our busy GP surgery in to work alongside the clinical team. You need to be able to work effectively within a busy team as well as independently and have good communication skills, and ideally have experience with EMIS Web. Main duties of the job The role consists of a range of skills, including but not limited to: Vital Signs (pulse, blood pressure, height, weight etc) Phlebotomy - Candidates must be trained with some experience ECG monitoring including 12 lead NHS Health Checks Injections such as B12 Flu vaccinations Diabetic reviews including foot checks Mental Health reviews Wound care {This is not an exhaustive list} As a minimum, candidates must be trained and competent Phlebotomists, and ideally have General Practice experience with as many of the skills highlighted above.
