Are you passionate about supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Asperger's?
A high-achieving secondary school set in beautiful rural grounds between Salisbury and Andover is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated team. The school specialises in supporting pupils with ASC and Asperger's, with many students successfully completing GCSEs and vocational qualifications before leaving education.
This role will be through Teaching Personnel initially, with a transition to a permanent contract following a successful probationary period.
Responsibilities:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with ASC and Asperger's.
* Assisting in the delivery of lessons, ensuring all pupils can access learning.
* Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
* Encouraging independence and confidence in students as they progress through school.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience in a school setting, or experience working with children or young adults with learning difficulties.
* Backgrounds in care, sports, or medical professions are also welcome.
* A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to working with young people.
* Due to the school's rural location, it is preferable that you have access to your own car.
