The Growth Company’s (GC) Business Growth Hub (BGH) seeks a Digital, Tech and Cyber Sector Development Lead to establish and develop long-term strategic and operational relationships with key stakeholders; including Greater Manchester (GM) Combined Authority (GMCA), the ten GM Local Authorities, business partners, national / local programmes and sponsors, Higher Education Institutions, and GM based Digital, Tech and Cyber businesses to build mutually beneficial collaborative relationships supporting the GM Digital, Tech and Cyber ecosystem. This is a key role within the GM BGH, contributing to and supporting delivery of GM sector development plans, policies and strategies, and the identification of future opportunities for GM BGH, which complements the Growth Company business plan and portfolio of services.
GM BGH is a community of specialists helping businesses in GM achieve their ambitions. Since 2011, the Hub has supported over 15,000 businesses, providing finance guidance, international links, and fostering innovation and people development. We collaborate with public and private partners to offer expert business support, events, specialist programmes, and funding.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of a Digital, Tech and Cyber sector network with key stakeholders and partners.
* Develop, implement, and deliver cohort programmes for Digital, Tech and Cyber businesses.
* Ensure GM BGH is recognised within the Digital, Tech and Cyber communities in GM.
* Collaborate with other support providers to complement and enhance GM BGH activities.
* Develop long-term partner strategies to support Growth Company and GM BGH business plans.
* Stimulate networks to discover innovative and growth-focused startups and companies.
* Identify and evaluate influential contacts to secure collaboration and generate referrals.
* Research and map data to provide market and sector-relevant intelligence.
