As the Platform Cloud Tech Lead, you will be the driving force behind an agile cloud platform delivery team, leading the development, publishing, and continuous improvement of Digital Network Platforms, ensuring business value.
To be successful, we require a candidate experienced in software development and system architecture in the Telco OSS domain.
You will work in close collaboration with stakeholders, Platform Owners, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This includes leading on building cloud environments and frameworks that support both NS&E's key data products and the hosting of mission-critical applications (including those under Digital Network Platforms).
Actively govern both internal and partner platform delivery teams ensuring solution design, code performance, and quality standards are optimal. Take complete ownership of the squad's technical output, be responsible for work estimation, create solution documents, and ensure alignment with the product teams.
The Platform Tech Lead's focus will be on improving the delivery speed, quality, and efficiency of Digital Network Platforms.
Technical Strategy and Leadership:
* Provide functional and technical support to the technical squad.
* Drive squad self-management, offering technical guidance and implementing best practices.
* Ensure the squad follows Agile methodologies and monitors performance.
* Implement CI/CD and automated testing in internal and partner delivery.
* Oversee security, privacy, and compliance measures in platform delivery.
Technology Expertise for Delivery:
* Work closely with the Cloud architect(s) and Cloud Platform Owner to provide a catalogue of Cloud Services; lead on App Deployment and delivery of Data Services to support Insights and Analytics and Digital Network Products.
* Accountable for the delivery of cloud infrastructure as code including related security and compliance.
* Architect scalable, reliable, and performant cloud platforms.
* Optimise platform performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
* Engage with Security by Design, Networking, Data Management, and Business teams to align on dependencies and priorities.
Governance and Standardisation:
* Define key performance metrics for Digital Network Platforms.
* Continuously improve platforms based on customer feedback.
* Ensure platform delivery considers security, privacy, and compliance measures.
* Standardise CI/CD practices with appropriate governance and security measures.
* Design and architect the platform for scalability, reliability, and performance.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
* Lead and mentor a team of 6-12 platform delivery engineers.
* Manage technical issues, risks, and incidents.
* Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to team members.

* Demonstrable experience in software development and system architecture in the Telco OSS domain.
* Working experience and knowledge of public, private and hybrid cloud providers, technologies and services.
* Working understanding of data and application frameworks on cloud.
* Good background in DevOps practices, including test automation, pipelines, source control, and cultural change.
