An independent (sub £10m turnover) manufacturer is looking to embark on its next stages of transition and growth by appointing an exceptionally high calibre Managing Director on a 12-18 month contract.
You will have a well-rounded commercial background and will be tasked with setting a clear strategy for the next stages of the business, taking ownership of key initiatives to achieve targeted outcomes. The role will involve co-ordinating key plans and activities across all functional areas and ultimately provide the succession to enable the owners to step away from the business.
In return, you will receive a salary of £650-£750 per day.
As Interim Managing Director, your role is very diverse, and, amongst other duties, you will:
* Develop high quality business strategies and growth plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives. Co-ordinating successful completion through the team and wider business.
* Lead and motivate the Senior Management Team to advance employee engagement and develop a high performing managerial team
* Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
* Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements
* Company cultural development
We’re looking for an Interim Managing Director with:
* Proven experience of driving sustainable SME business growth in the manufacturing sector
* Gravitas, with clear leadership qualities and a straight-talking style of management
* Excellent communications skills, with the ability to effect successful relationships, both internally and externally, with team members and customers, suppliers and other stakeholders alike

This is a key role in the transition of the business and will require the successful individual to operate from the company’s premises for at least 4 days per week. The Company has a long-standing track record in their sector and a very positive brand and they are well known for their quality of service and delivery of products to a range of customers including some well know high street brands, both in the UK and Europe.
