Assistant: Retirement Housing with Meals Opportunities in Dundee!
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Camperdown Court in Dundee as an Assistant. The development offers safe and secure homes designed especially for those aged 60 and over and is situated in Charleston in the west end of Dundee, close to local amenities. There are good transport links to Dundee city centre.
The Role
You will be responsible for undertaking a range of duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. You will also assist by preparing the dining room for mealtimes, heating prepared meals and delivering them to tenants.
On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition, you will respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required.
Hours
14 hours per week, organised as follows:
Saturday & Sunday: 10am - 6pm*
*Includes a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Role Requirements
* Experience of a similar type of role would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement as training will be provided.
* You should bring to the role a genuine interest in working with older people and an ability to respond calmly to requests for assistance.
* REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent would be desirable.
