Join Our Team as an Assistant Team Manager in Children's Social Care - FAST Team!

About Us: Our FAST Team is part of the Front door to Children’s Services; we screen referrals that are made for Early Help and assess the support needs of referred families.
Role Overview: As an Assistant Team Manager, you will support the Team Manager in the day-to-day operations of the FAST Team. You will be responsible for supervising FAST workers, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and contributing to the development and implementation of service improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountability: Manage a team of Social Workers and other professionals in delivering statutory and legislative duties.
2. Safeguarding: Safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in Sefton while managing risk.
3. Performance Targets: Ensure key performance targets for the team, service, and Council are met.
4. Collaboration: Promote equality of opportunity and joint working with other teams across the Council and partners.
5. Leadership: Lead the promotion and delivery of Sefton’s child care policies.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality practice with children, young people, and families.

Requirements:
1. Qualifications: A degree in Social Work, with registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England.
2. Experience: Proven experience in children's social care, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
3. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
