Are you ready to kickstart your career in a team where you can make a difference?
Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.
Our apprentice and trainee programmes will help you build and establish a career where you will have the freedom to learn, achieve your ambitions and leave your mark on the communities in which we work.
Working as part of our building services team, on our midland’s healthcare portfolio, we are now looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Fitter to join our 2025 development programme and help us shape the future at King’s Mill Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital.
What you'll do:

* Gain an understanding of all statutory & mandatory compliance maintenance.
* Collaborate with other teams to arrange access into departments.
* Complete all record sheets and paperwork associated with routine duties accurately and in good time.
* To learn and understand how to ensure work is carried out safely to current industry standards and associated codes of practice.
* You will be on your feet most of the day and you will be using tools to carry out maintenance tasks.
* Due to the nature of the facility, you will be required to undergo a DBS check.
What you'll bring to the role:
* You will ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent, grade 4 to 9) for us to enrol you on a Level 3 apprenticeship, however, please feel free to apply if you do not meet this criteria.
* You will have a genuine interest in starting your career in facilities management and be enthusiastic to learn.
* The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and will be able to work collaboratively with others.
What we offer:
* You will be a part of a community of 100+ graduates and apprentices.
* Funding and support to help you achieve a formal qualification.
