Focus on the creative digital media industry alongside organisational skills, working in groups, filmmaking, design, basic animation and marketing within the media sector. You will use digital equipment to create digital content. It is a practical course with theoretical elements. You will create individual coursework for each unit through projects. Specialist tutors, with industry experience, support you throughout the course to further your understanding of digital equipment, and develop professional practice.
Minimum Requirements: Two GCSEs at Grade 3 or above including English and Mathematics or a relevant Entry Level qualification.

Assessment
This course is 100% coursework based. It is assessed through a unit criteria driven specification, comprised of 10 units. Learners receive grades for each individual unit which combined produce a final overall grade.
You could progress onto a Level 2 course in a related subject.
Equipment Needed
All essential equipment is provided by the college. Learners are recommended to provide their own headphones (with a stereo jack plug).
Equipment Supplied
Burnley College has areas dedicated to support learners in the creative digital spectrum. We have a Game Design studio featuring computing equipment which uses industry standard software. We have Media studios that are suitable for both stills photography and video. We have two high-end studios for esports, which can support online esports tournaments. All hardware and software requirements are provided by the college.
You will have access to many enrichment activities and are encouraged to use these as a beneficial service to support your overall development as individuals.
