Supplier Development Engineer Job Purpose: Reporting to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist, the Supplier Development Engineer works closely with supply chain, planning, engineering, and quality teams to develop new and existing suppliers. This role is key to building strong internal and external relationships within the supply chain. Key Responsibilities: - Lead supplier audits and evaluations to ensure conformance. - Assess supplier capabilities to meet OTIF delivery, quality, cost, HSE, and regulatory requirements. - Monitor supplier KPIs, address compliance issues, and drive supplier improvement initiatives. - Collaborate with suppliers on process controls, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. - Manage supplier quality performance and resolve nonconformance issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken. - Support NPI and product transfer by coordinating key milestones, including supplier/component qualification and FAI/PPAP. - Oversee supplier selection through robust qualification and validation audits. - Conduct supplier business reviews and site visits to maintain compliance. - Foster positive relationships with cross-functional teams and suppliers. - Ensure compliance with company ethics, health, and safety standards.
