Your new role
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the engineering team, setting clear objectives aligned with business goals, and offering regular feedback and coaching. You will implement process improvements in line with company guidelines to enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate with the Technical Manager to plan and deliver effective training, ensuring the team maintains the highest level of competence. Additionally, the role requires working closely with the supply chain to drive technical and process improvements through a collaborative approach. You will maintain management systems and support Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) objectives across the site. Achieving high levels of performance and engagement through inspirational leadership, recruitment, training, and employee development is crucial. You will ensure the timely delivery of orders to customers, provide regular updates and financial analysis for senior management. Gathering and reporting customer feedback on service and project delivery to inform management decisions is also a key responsibility.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years experience managing engineering operations teams, with a proven record of team management and development. Familiarity with CRM systems is beneficial, and an engineering qualification would be advantageous. The candidate should have a proven record in customer-facing roles and delivering projects. A clean and full driving licence is required.
