About Dartington LED
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the LED Leisure group to lead a new club based within the grounds of the historic
Dartington Trust, near Totnes. The facility will include a gym and a number of exercise studios, as well as future plans for
additional facility growth. You will work with a group of Fitness Instructors, Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors to
deliver our vision of 'creating brilliant leisure experiences and active communities'.
We are keen to hear from you if you are interested in delivering any type of group exercise classes in our new club in Dartington
near Totnes - we are open to a variety of classes however we are particularly keen to hear from those who can deliver one or more
of the following: Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, Circuits/Bootcamp or any Les Mills classes."
Although the facility isn't due to open until January 2025, we are keen to appoint sooner if possible.
The Role
As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will lead engaging, high-quality exercise classes in a variety of disciplines, helping to
build a positive, active community. We are especially interested in instructors qualified to lead Yoga, Pilates, Spinning,
Circuits/Bootcamp, or any Les Mills classes, though we welcome applicants with other class specialties.
Responsibilities
* Lead group exercise classes, ensuring participant safety, motivation, and enjoyment.
* Promote high levels of occupancy in your classes by engaging with members and encouraging new participants.
* Assist with class administration and coordinate with fitness team members to ensure smooth operations.
* Maintain compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations within the facility.
What We’re Looking For
* Essential: Relevant qualification to teach your specific class types.
* Desirable: Experience in a leisure or fitness setting, with First Aid certification.
* Strong interpersonal and motivational skills to engage participants of all fitness levels.
* Ability to supervise facility use, ensure safety, and complete necessary compliance training.
