Primary Care Mental Health Clinical Practitioner

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Mental Health Practitioners in the North Lincolnshire area through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). These roles will cover the west primary care network.
The ARRS mental health role in primary care is an exciting opportunity to build new models of working, with community-based roles situated at the heart of General Practice while being employed by RDaSH. A GP integrated mental health service will create better joint working across primary and secondary care mental health systems.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide a lead role in supporting Primary Care Networks in triaging mental health concerns and providing specialist advice.
2. Support GPs within the network to make appropriate referrals and support bridging a gap between primary care and secondary services while working in partnership across the system.
3. Act as first point of contact for GPs to gain advice and support regarding people's mental health.
4. Where appropriate, liaise with the GP team and the PCN regarding complex situations.
5. Be available to participate in primary care practice level meetings, including any meetings involving serious concern, i.e., safeguarding and risk management.
6. Be effective in multi-professional team working and service transformation.
7. Provide a comprehensive Primary Mental Health Nursing Service across the whole range of patients, mainly via clinics and one-to-one interactions with service users, including the provision of bio-psycho-social assessment and treatment delivery, including the role of Independent Non-medical Prescribing.
8. Practice autonomously and hold the Independent Non-medical Prescribing accreditation, or be prepared to work towards it immediately when commenced in post.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse
* Appropriate demonstrable post-registration clinical practice as a Registered Healthcare Professional
* Non-medical prescriber.
Experience
* Working independently &/or effectively as part of a multi-professional team
* Evidence of effectively managing inpatient care as a shift co-ordinator, Deputy Ward Manager or a Ward Manager &/or effectively managing a patient caseload in a community team setting
* Evidence of experience and/or knowledge of working within Primary Care Network Mental Health
