Job summary An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to join the Berkshire CAMHS Anxiety Disorders Treatment Team (ADTT). BHFT CAMHS ADTT members are passionate about using individualised and formulation-led evidence-based approaches to help children, young people and families. We provide specialist assessments and treatment for children and young people suffering with anxiety disorders, OCD and Tic Disorders across Berkshire. The ADTT team prides itself on our inclusive practice, particularly our work with neurodivergent families. Our team has good research links and is pleased to offer training placements to Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Trainee CBT Therapists and Specialist Psychiatry registrars. As well as a culture of adult learning, we also have a compassionate ethos within the team which permeates throughout our work, and which is remarked upon by all clinicians who work with us. Working as part of the clinical team and supported by senior clinicians, you will manage a clinical caseload and deliver high quality, safe and effective psychological interventions within the associated service and across all sectors of related care across Berkshire. You will be responsible for conducting highly specialist psychological assessments, case formulations and delivering specialised evidence-based psychological interventions to service users presenting with anxiety disorders. Main duties of the job To be responsible for the delivery of psychological therapy within ADTT, providing expert professional leadership and advice relating to the delivery of psychological therapy for complex presentations requiring multiple interventions, complex or intensive risk management plans and high levels of multiagency working in order to ensure and develop consistently high quality, safe and cost effective services for users, working in partnership with key stakeholders internal and external to the Trust. As we develop our on-line offer, to undertake a role in moderating service user activity on the Trust Support, Hope, Recovery On-Line Network (SHaRON) and to participate in on-line discussions and care delivery via this modality. The post holder will be responsible for expert psychological assessment, case formulation, risk assessment and treatment for a designated number of patients presenting with complex mental health difficulties. Manage, supervise, and support psychological practitioners/professionals and trainees, and other members of the clinical team within their area of responsibility, undertaking annual appraisals, as delegated by the Team Manager / Service Manager. Chair multi-agency meetings to achieve positive outcomes, particularly for more complex clinical presentations.
