MERCHANDISING MANAGER
ROLE PURPOSE
We are looking for a highly experienced, analytical and commercially-minded Merchandising Manager to head up the Merchandising Team at Hush. You'll be accountable for trading the plan through executing strategies that optimise product selection, pricing, and inventory management. Its exciting times at Hush as we embark on new partnerships driving growth; you'll have the opportunity to manage these launches with major new partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for the performance of the Merchandising Function:
* Championing, developing and delivering a commercial strategy; inclusive of identifying and executing new partnership opportunities.
* Actively drive the performance of the Merchandising Function to be high performing, looking at ways to optimise existing processes.
* Setting and driving forward new initiatives and improved processes within the Merchandising team, striving to maximise efficiency and accuracy.
* Owning the Merchandising critical path for all categories, from option planning to in-season trading.
* Accountable for setting seasonal sales plans by channel and by category as well as for Hush’s relationship with our external trading channels
Stock Management:
* Challenge and evaluate stock buys and placements to ensure they deliver the best possible profitability and meet business needs.
* Accountable for stock management, driving optimal margins and stock turn while ensuring efficiency in the supply chain.
* Driving the agenda for weekly trade meetings and seasonal lessons learned meetings
Data Insight and Analysis:
* Extracting key insights from complex data sets and leveraging these to drive decisions to improve business performance
* Simplifying, collating and presenting quarterly channel performance reviews to the Senior Leadership Team, driving debate and discussion on lessons learned and opportunities to improve sales performance both in-store and online as well as compiling monthly trade decks to be shared with the Board
* Leading monthly Buy update meetings and leading signoffs with the CEO and key stakeholders
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience at Merchandising Manager level within a fashion retail business
* Experience working with multiple trading channels
* Strong experience within a fast paced, retail trading environment is critical
* Highly analytical and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
* Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders and delivering results across a matrix organisation
* Proven track record of delivering planned sales and margin targets
* Experience working in an entrepreneurial way, identifying and implementing innovative solutions to unlock business growth. Experience with implementing change initiatives is a must have
* Excellent attention to detail, with a logical and mathematical approach to problem-solving
* Commercially minded, able to identify, influence, track, react and develop opportunities to maximise performance now and in the future
* Strong reporting skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
* Ability to adapt quickly and navigate a fast-paced environment is key
