Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join our global manufacturing business.
This role involves developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, solving complex challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, creative problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain manufacturing documentation to meet customer requirements.
* Define and optimise manufacturing methods to ensure efficiency and quality.
* Act as the engineering point of contact for non-conforming parts, including drafting and approving concessions and rework documentation.
* Manage change review processes, coordinating implementation with stakeholders.
* Identify and implement process improvements using structured methodologies.
* Support continuous improvement activities and maintain a zero-harm culture.
* Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action to resolve manufacturing challenges.
* Review and integrate customer specifications into the manufacturing process.
* Assist in New Product Introduction activities, including design reviews, pFMEA sessions, and technical documentation creation.
Requirements:
* Degree, HND, or HNC qualification in a relevant field.
* Ability to interpret and apply engineering, quality, and health & safety standards.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MS Project experience is desirable.
* Commercial awareness and a commitment to continuous learning.
Estimated salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
