KS4 English SEMH Teacher
Contract: 9-12 month contract
Start Date: March 2025
NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a school provision based in Leeds (LS12) that caters for Secondary students who are at risk of exclusion. This school is currently looking to hire a SEMH teacher with strong experience working with children/young adults with social and emotional mental health needs.
The school is looking for a Teacher who has experience teaching Key Stage 4 English up to GCSE Level and can help the students at the provision in working towards their exams this year. This provision is based in the LS12 area of Leeds and currently has 6 sites across the Leeds area, so there will be future opportunities to work in the other provisions covering SEN, SEMH, Primary, and Secondary.
This role will be starting in March 2025 (ASAP) and will be covering a maternity leave that has started early. The length of the role will be until December 2025 at the earliest; however, the provision is also open to candidates who can only work until the summer holidays.
Requirements for an SEMH English Teacher:
1. Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
2. Strong experience and knowledge of SEMH needs and English (up to GCSE Level)
3. Team Teach trained (or other suitable training)
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Two professional references
6. An Enhanced child or child and adult DBS on the update service
