Duties of an Electrical Engineer : Maintenance Operations: Overseeing planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and operational efficiency of all electrical systems. Project Work: Designing, specifying, and installing electrical equipment for capital, maintenance, and upgrading projects, ensuring budget compliance. Team Leadership: Supervising the electrical team and electrical contractors. Technical Authority: Acting as a Company Technical Authority on electrical matters and liaising with internal teams and external agencies such as the HSE & EA. Safety and Compliance: Maintaining a culture of safety within the Electrical Department, ensuring adherence to statutory and company regulations. Training and Development: Managing the development and training of all electrical personnel. Skills and experience required of an Electrical Engineer : Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. At least 3 years of practical experience post-HNC, with experience in a supervisory role within an industrial manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of ATEX, area classification, BS60079, and electrical safety standards. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and adapt to operational priorities.
