The Team
Our Sales function is the central hub for all end-user orders for our Company Car, Salary-Sacrifice & Consumer channels. It comprises of Sales Enablement, Sales Performance and Order Fulfilment teams, that work closely together to deliver all order related activity.
Our Sales Performance team is at the heart of this operation, providing a seamless and exceptional customer buying experience for the end users of our Company car, Salary Sacrifice (B2B) and ZenAuto (B2C) channels. The team are accountable for delivering our sales targets for BEV extensions, renewals and growth.
Our Sales Executives work exclusively with warm leads and speak with drivers over the phone/web chat. They use a consultative approach and deliver great customer outcomes by listening to and understanding individual drivers' needs, providing expert advice on our extensive vehicle offering and promoting the benefits of our products.
What you'll be doing
We are looking for an exceptional Sales Manager to lead the Sales Performance Team (10 FTE). We're seeking a strategic thinker with experience of designing & implementing effective sales processes and effectively translating business strategy into operational plans that deliver. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think big whilst executing at a tactical level, and exceptional people leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Own, design and oversee the delivery of the Sales Performance plan, creating a roadmap to lead the team to deliver results. You will adapt to an ever-evolving marketplace and pivot where needed to achieve ongoing business growth.
* Lead a team of c.10 FTE, creating a culture of learning, diversity and knowledge sharing; ensuring operational expertise and talent development. Providing clear guidance and objectives to ensure all goals are aligned and the team are equipped with the tools & resources needed to succeed.
* Develop and implement new processes, tools and analytics to increase sales performance.
* Develop and maintain Sales framework guidelines and expectations on compliance, data handling and treating customers fairly; and ensuring adherence across the team.
* Drive continuous improvement by proactively monitoring performance, identifying gaps, and putting mechanisms in place to bridge them to maximise sales opportunities.
* Build relationships with stakeholders across the Group, collaborating and influencing to ensure successful execution of the sales performance plan.
* Inspiring, engaging, coaching and motivating the Sales Performance team to maximise their productivity and meet or exceed sales and profit targets across Growth, Renewals and BEVs.
What you'll bring
* Extensive experience of leading a high performing sales team, ideally within a customer centric B2C/D2C or B2B2E environment. With proven experience of delivering results through consistent processes and practical problem-solving. Either as a Sales Manager or Sales Operations Manager.
* Thrive on achieving visible, measurable results through step-by-step execution and effective team collaboration. You bring energy and ambition to your work, taking ownership of challenges and driving consistent improvements.
* A proven motivational people leader, with excellent people leadership capabilities and experience of Coaching, and elevating a high performing team. Providing clear guidance, tools, and resources to deliver results.
* A deep knowledge of sales processes and excel at implementing them and ensuring their efficacy, while maintaining a proactive and dynamic approach to achieving results.
* Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and relationship-building skills. With the ability to solve complex problems, make confident decisions and influence change in an evolving environment.
* Comfortable with working from our Kirkstall Forge office min.3 days per week.
