Join Screwfix as a Buying Assistant and support our Category Manager in achieving sales and margin targets through strategic activities.

Responsibilities:
1. Assist with range reviews and promotional activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
2. Manage supplier setup and maintain accurate supplier information.
3. Address product, price, cost changes, catalogue & online errors, and quality issues promptly.
4. Provide regular updates to the line manager on progress and priorities.
5. Monitor competitor activity regarding products, pricing, and promotions.
6. Handle product samples efficiently within the Product Centre.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Ability to own priorities and manage time effectively.
* Adapt quickly to new situations and priorities.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
* Interest in the commercial market and customer needs.
* Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; SAP experience is a plus.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
* Previous retail Buying Head Office experience and commercial awareness.
