Environmental Advisor - Construction (North East)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Advisor to join our growing team. In this key role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our construction projects meet all environmental regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental impact assessments for construction projects.
Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) for construction sites.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with environmental permits and legislation.
Advise on and implement sustainable construction practices to minimize environmental impact.
Conduct site audits and identify areas for improvement in environmental performance.
Prepare environmental reports and documentation.
Stay up-to-date on environmental legislation and best practices within the construction sector.
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant environmental qualification (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability).
Minimum 3 years' experience in a construction environment advisor role.
Strong understanding of environmental legislation and regulations relevant to construction activities in the UK.
Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and developing environmental management plans (EMPs).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience (typically in the range of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum plus full lifestyle benefits package.
