What Will You Be Doing as a Construction Project Engineer: Overseeing the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design to contractor appointments and project delivery. Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, legal standards, and best practices. Managing multiple projects at different stages, including risk, budgets, and stakeholder engagement. Leading professional teams to ensure project objectives are met. Balancing construction activities with the day-to-day operations of the site. Driving cost efficiency, developing budgets, managing change, and ensuring projects remain on track. Coordinating planning applications and managing impact assessments. Managing contractor handover, snagging, and defect resolution. What Do You Need to Qualify for the Construction Project Engineer Role: Significant experience in construction project management, site development, and CDM compliance. Strong leadership & negotiation skills, capable of managing large project teams. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, balancing competing priorities. Deep understanding of RIBA design stages, JCT contracts, and standard construction practices. Experience in cost planning, budgeting, and cashflow management. Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification (preferred). Project Management or Quantity Surveying experience/qualification (beneficial). Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills.
