Your Responsibilities This is a dynamic position to be the electronics and software guru at Olsen Actuators. It is a varied role including design, R&D, software & hardware, problem solving, hands on work to build products and test rigs and more Here are some of the responsibilities: Producing electrical schematics and drawings in line with project specifications Be proficient at working with a range of servo drives to setup to work with a range of motors/actuators Have excellent problem-solving skills to analyse issues with servo drive and software issues Researching, designing and writing new software programs Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code Producing specifications, and complying with project plans and industry standards Document and maintain software functionality Confirm system and components capabilities by designing testing methods, finished products and system capabilities Designing, developing and maintaining electrical control systems and components Carrying our feasibility studies for new technical innovations Testing installations and systems, and analysing data Candidate Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electronics engineer role or similar. A skilled hands-on professional with the desire to build their creations in the workshop. Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to articulate and produce clear, concise documentation. Experience with the following will be beneficial: motion control, servo drives, Embedded C, C#, C++, PLC logic programming, HMI programming, PCB / circuit design. Living commutable to Olsen Actuators, you could live in Runcorn, Liverpool, Chester, Warrington, Widnes, Lymm, Northwich, Ellesmere Port, Knutsford, Winsford, Manchester etc. Must be able to pass UK defence security clearance checks.
