The Conservation Department at Tonbridge School is committed to the stewardship of the School’s natural environment, ensuring that its orchards and conservation areas are maintained and developed in a sustainable and ecologically responsible way. Through land management, biodiversity initiatives, and environmental education, the department plays a vital role in preserving and enhancing the School’s wildlife areas for both current and future generations.
The Conservation Assistant will support the practical aspects of conservation work, assisting with habitat management, land maintenance, and the development of sustainable practices within the School grounds. Working closely with the Head of Conservation, the post holder will help implement the school’s environmental management plan, ensuring that conservation areas are maintained to the highest standards.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a thriving conservation programme within an educational setting, supporting both the practical and educational aspects of land management and environmental stewardship at Tonbridge School.
This is a part-time, all-year-round post of 6 hours per week, on Wednesdays 9am to 4pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
