Procurement Specialist, Client Success Team – NYC
About the Opportunity:
Concertiv Inc. is hiring a Procurement Specialist, Client Success Team to work with investment banking, private equity, hedge fund and asset management executives on their market data, technology services, and travel portfolios. These services enable Concertiv clients to complete critical day-to-day tasks. In this role, you would be responsible for gathering user feedback and usage data from clients about vendors, obtain proposals from vendors, support the team lead with negotiation of contracts, as well as interacting with vendors and clients to best support Concertiv’s initiatives.
This is a hands-on role, offering broad exposure to client services project management, negotiation tactics, and financial services operations in a highly entrepreneurial environment. While there is a substantial analytical component to the position, it is also very much about ‘doing’ and rapidly implementing ideas, including responding to client requests; processing, analyzing, and reporting data; and executing sourcing needs in a fast-paced environment. This is a client-facing role that involves a high volume of effective written communications and tremendous attention to detail. This is a great growth opportunity for the right individual with the ability to interface with multiple levels of client stakeholders and external vendors.
What you’ll do:
1. Support the Client Success and Procurement teams’ daily workflow through various proprietary and third-party applications and collaborate with other departments and follow-up with stakeholders and clients until tasks are complete.
2. Collect, analyze, interpret and summarize usage data on suppliers and customers.
3. Provide market insight and benchmarking data to support development of strategic sourcing initiatives.
4. Support the client portfolio management process by arranging meetings, taking meeting minutes, ensuring analysis is completed to support meetings, and appropriate follow-up is completed.
5. Measure, monitor and analyze products/services usage by customers.
6. Provide analytical support to the Procurement team.
7. Troubleshoot common subscription issues, including licensing problems and invoice verification.
8. Create vendor landscapes to help clients assess product value.
9. Organize results for presentation to external stakeholders.
10. Review and file documents supporting client contracts and subscriptions.
11. Develop, retain and grow relationships with client stakeholders across Private Equity, Investment Bank and Hedge Fund clients.
12. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Skills and Experience:
1. Degree from a four-year university program, preferably in business administration, operations, supply chain management, procurement or closely related fields.
2. Provide exceptional customer service by guiding clients through questions and issues regarding our SaaS platform and other third-party platforms, offering insights and thoughtful feedback regarding usage and billing matters and assisting with data integrity and analytics regarding client portfolios.
3. Results and deadline oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
4. Proficiency in BI tools, data analysis, project management tools, and familiarity with ticketing systems such as Zendesk or Salesforce.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Effective written communication via email, presentations, and (down the road) white papers/industry analysis.
7. Coachable, self-motivated and resilient.
Who will love this job:
1. A competitor: you are motivated to deliver wins on behalf of clients.
2. A team player: you know when to collaborate and when to execute solo.
3. A problem solver: you ask the right questions and drive towards solutions with exceptional attention to detail.
4. A builder: you will develop our infrastructure, playbook, and process to support our growth.
5. Competitive compensation and upside potential.
6. Ground floor opportunity to shape the financial operations of an industry-disrupting business.
7. Exposure to business leaders across finance, law, consulting, technology, data, and corporate travel.
8. Sharp, motivated co-workers in a flexible office environment.
