Retail | Full Time | Charters Towers, QLD
We are currently searching for a full-time sales / warehouse assistant to join our team. As a sales / warehouse assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our sales & warehouse teams, inventory management, fulfilling orders accurately & promptly, contributing to achieving sales targets & overall business objectives, and providing exceptional customer service. Our store trades 7 days a week, so you must be available to work every third weekend on a rotating roster. This position will be based in Charters Towers, QLD.
As a sales assistant, you will be responsible for:
* Assisting with inventory management
* Cash handling and processing payments and returns
* Sales support, up-selling or cross-selling products to customers
* Stocking, merchandising, and maintaining the store's overall cleanliness and organisation
* Assisting in training new employees and supporting other departments or team members as necessary
* Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting them in finding products, answering questions about merchandise, and handling any complaints or issues they may have.
* A willingness to learn
* A dedication to accuracy
* Experience with inventory control processes
* Professionalism and maintaining a positive reputation
* Strong customer service experience is crucial for this role
* Excellent time management, organisational, and technical skills
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and higher management
* Experience working collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment and in roles related to merchandising, inventory management, or visual display
* Experience performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various temperature conditions typical of warehouse environments
