Department Admin Location(s) Gloucestershire, London, Manchester Salary Salaries ranging between £25,856 - £33,746 Job description
MI5, MI6 and GCHQ are the UK’s Intelligence Services. We work together to safeguard Britain’s people, interests and businesses from various threats at home, overseas and online, including cyber-attacks, espionage, terrorism, and organised crime. Working across our vital missions, you’ll deliver impact at the heart of national security, all within a supportive and inclusive environment that allows everyone to thrive.
Working in an admin role at MI5, MI6 or GCHQ means you’ll be providing the vital administrative service behind the UK’s Intelligence Services. You could be gathering information, writing reports, managing databases, arranging meetings and travel, or supporting intelligence operations - you’ll work as part of a friendly, collaborative team enabling our organisations to function.
We also offer dedicated training and development; whether you’re seeking your first professional role or looking to bring your existing experience somewhere new, you’ll receive all the support you need to grow and enjoy a uniquely rewarding career.
Interested? Why not join us at one of our upcoming virtual careers events to find out more about our admin roles and hear from people currently working in post. We’ll also discuss what it’s like working for us and give you the opportunity to ask us questions.
We recruit for these roles on a regular basis, so make sure you register your interest today. Doing so means you’ll be notified as soon as applications open.
We’d particularly encourage people from Black, Asian or other ethnic minority backgrounds* to register their interest for these roles. There’s no ‘type’ of person we recruit, however we recognise these groups are currently underrepresented in our workforce. We value a culture where different insights, perspectives and experiences are welcomed – and where you’ll always be encouraged to contribute, shape our work and be yourself.
As part of this registration of interest, we will invite applicants to several online events prior to the Business Support Officers campaign opening. There will be Insight Events where you can find out more about the role and we offer a Skills Event to provide general tips about completing a job application, preparing for interview etc. These events will run on:
Insight Events – Tuesday 20 August 2024 (1pm and 5.30pm)
Skills Event – Friday 23 August 2024 (1pm)
The events will last for approximately 1 hour.
Please note that a registration of interest does not constitute a job application, nor will such registration have any bearing upon the recruitment process itself. Any individuals who register their interest and who decide subsequently to apply for a role will need to complete an application form once the window for applications has opened.
*Please note that we are confining registrations of interest to these groups only, due to their current under-representation in our workforce. Once the application window has opened, we welcome applications from all candidates, regardless of their ethnic background, gender, disability and/or any other protected characteristic(s). Please check our nationality eligibility criteria requirements .
All applications will be assessed solely on merit.
