The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Health & Social Care to join our passionate and high-performing team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As part of this role, you will be teaching on a variety of study programmes. This includes: Level 1, 2 and 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and our T-Level in Health programme which features three distinctive pathways (Adult Nursing, Mental Health, and Midwifery). Therefore, a candidate with a background in a clinical role (such as Nursing or Midwifery), or a specialism in Biology would be preferred for this role; however, applications from all Health & Social Care backgrounds are welcome.
This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation, or a talented aspiring trainee teacher looking for support with their teaching qualification.
The successful candidate will be based at our Nelson & Colne College site but may be required to teach at our Accrington & Rossendale College site if required.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Teaching within the Health and Social Care team on a range of programmes in Health & Social Care, delivering effective learning for students.
* Be up to date, plan, and prepare high-quality teaching as required by your Line Manager.
* Develop and share resources for the subject including maintaining effective links across College for resources.
* Regularly assess students in order to track and monitor progress.
* Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date student/subject records and provide information, as requested.
What We Are Looking For:
* 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
* Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification.
* Recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment).
