Job Title: Transport Administrator Department: Student Services Hours: 26 hours per week (Weekend and evening working may be required when business needs demand) Salary: £15,675.89 per annum (pro rata to £22,308.00 full time equivalent) Responsible to: Transport Manager About the Role: Protocol are working with a college based in Northampton and are seeking a dedicated and proactive Transport Administrator to support the efficient delivery of student transport services. In this role, you will play an integral part in the administration and day-to-day operation of student transport services, ensuring that systems and processes run smoothly to meet the needs of the college community. Key Responsibilities: Administer transport request forms, bus passes, and payments, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date. Handle general student transport inquiries and assist in the practical operation of services. Maintain filing and record-keeping systems, both manual and digital, ensuring accurate data management. Produce administrative documents such as reports, letters, and statistical data to support the transport department. Provide administrative support for other Student Services areas as needed, including Reception. Ensure the application of college policies and procedures, particularly regarding safeguarding, health & safety, and equality & diversity. Assist with cash handling and monitor budgets within the department. What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, a flexible approach to work, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks. Ideal candidates will have experience in administrative roles, particularly in environments that require attention to detail and the management of sensitive information. A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills are essential. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent). Experience in handling large volumes of data and working with confidential information. Experience in customer service or a similar administrative capacity. A strong commitment to safeguarding, health & safety, and equality. Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
