Are you looking to move your career forward to focus on business development in the manufacturing and engineering sector?
We are working with a manufacturing company who are looking for someone with an inquisitive mindset, excellent communication skills and who enjoys chasing down opportunities.
Key Tasks:
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities across international markets within a defined sector.
2. Communicate with government authorities, design consultants, contractors, OEMs, and clients worldwide.
3. Attend and exhibit at international trade shows, client visits, and trade missions (annually).
4. Provide technical sales support, guiding clients from initial inquiry to final product selection.
5. Manage the sales process from inquiry to quotation, ensuring accurate pricing and margin calculations in multiple currencies.
6. Follow up on inquiries, pull together tenders, and generate new leads.
Skills / Experience:
1. Previous relevant experience, ideally in manufacturing.
2. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
3. Strong communication and organisational skills.
4. Ability to recognise when to sell versus when to focus on relationship building.
5. Highly process-driven, ensuring smooth sales progression from concept to completion.
6. Confident decision-making and ability to take initiative.
7. The role requires some overseas travel: flexibility for travel when required.
